Description

The Hornady Precision Hunter 22 Creedmoor 80-grain ELD-X load pairs Hornady’s Extremely Low Drag eXpanding bullet with the Heat Shield tip to preserve shape under aerodynamic heating and maintain a high ballistic coefficient for flatter trajectories and improved downrange performance. The factory test-barrel muzzle velocity is listed at about 3,285 ft/s and published muzzle energy is roughly 1,917 ft·lb, giving strong supersonic performance for medium game at typical hunting distances. The cartridges are loaded in brass cases with boxer primers and are offered 20 rounds per box, making this round suitable for precision hunting of coyote and deer sized game where high retained energy and reliable expansion matter.
