Description

Description

The War Poet 9mm, a collaborative effort between Shadow Systems and John Lovell of the Warrior Poet Society, designed to redefine the concept of a lightweight, versatile pistol. Leveraging the proven MR920 platform for its exceptional performance in both concealed carry and range shooting, the focus was on enhancing its capabilities further.

The highlight is the innovative optics mounting system, allowing for a secure fit of modern red dots without the need for additional plates. The design incorporates practical features like a recoil control ledge on the dust cover, machined from durable 17/4 stainless steel for reliability and reduced weight. Front and rear serrations improve handling, while a thinned slide profile enhances grip.

The barrel, crafted from 416R stainless steel, is threaded for accessories and features conventional rifling for versatility with lead bullets. The flat-faced polymer trigger ensures a smooth pull, while maintaining a carry-safe design with drop safeties intact. Enhanced sight options include a solid black rear sight and a high-visibility green outlined tritium front. The modified Gen3 recoil system, user-adjustable single spring, and high-reliability LCI extractor further optimize performance. A magwell extension facilitates quicker reloads, compatible with Glock 19 magazines.

Each pistol comes with two 15-round magazines and three interchangeable backstraps, offering customization options for every shooter’s preference.
